Breathe it in! Exude positive energy and you will wake up every morning with a vast smile on your face! Look out side! Wherever you are and pick out the one positive sight you see! For me, its a blue sky, sunny day. The wind is a reminder that its not quite summer yet, it's nippy and cool, but it puts a smile on your face because you can still feel the warmth of the sun on your cheeks! Spring, in all its glory.

We have it so easy here..
I love Canada.
Appreciate what you have, where you live, and who is in your life.

Putin Wins Presidential Election in Russia (Mar. 4): Vladimir Putin wins the presidential election in Russia, claiming 64% of the vote. (Mar. 5): Observers from the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe challenge the election, saying Putin won because he had no competition and government spending at his disposal. The United States and the European Union call for an investigation into fraud allegations. Meanwhile, thousands of demonstrators in Moscow hit the streets, chanting, "Russia without Putin." A similar demonstration happens in St. Petersburg. When protestors refuse to leave, police arrest them. In Moscow, 250 people are arrested. In St. Petersburg, 300 demonstrators are detained.

SOCIAL MEDIA
This is the year of change!
Viva la International Justice!
Be the inspiration! The moral of the story is: Be aware! Research! Volunteer!
Look into this, social networking is a phenomena, however, the united states of America has its history of trying to "help" other countries in time's of "need".

Explore. Dream. Discover.
I cannot wait to experience what the world has to offer. To see things my heart will always cherish. Sky dive, bungee jump, take a step in all the oceans, take many things off of my bucket list.
In short: I cannot wait to live.

Rare
I seldom blog about what's really going on in the world. however, all the buzz and talk about what is happening in the states with Obama, and the debt-limit vote has intrigued me. So I googled, and read and read and read about whats happening. In my opinion, everyone in the house / who ever is against Obama for the vote is, ignorant and vacuous. Raising taxes is obviously a necessity in order to bring your country out of debt, so why object to it? I won't go on about this, because trust me I can. Honestly people, don't think selfishly. If the USA defaults, its probable that another recession will happen.. that sounds like it can only make matters worse.
Anyways, EDUCATE YOURSELVES!

May 1st,2011 - Nosama day!
"Breaking News!"
Osama bin Laden has been killed and his body taken into US custody!
Obama's speech to the US and to the world was amazing yet frightening all at the same time. Okay, good on you America for taking 10 years, thousands of deaths, and war to bring down the leader of Al Qaeda . I repeat the LEADER OF AL QAEDA. if he's dead to prove a point, you'll get proven wrong right back. This is a remarkable day, but it's also the day of uncertainty.

SUCH A GOOD IDEA!
Turning on a regular faucet for 30 seconds produces 6 litres of water. This clever contraption only holds a ONE litre. Making you conscious of your water usage. And its so good for the environment! Love, love, love.

earth.
Lately, I've been thinking, obsessing, dreaming and breathing about global warming, the ozone layer; simply put, our earth. I have made a lot of changes in the way I view and appreciate this planet I live on. Which, in turn has made me want to make more changes at home. So far, suggestions have been ignored so, I will have to make these things happen on my own. For example: composting which will decrease our 4 garbage bags a week, to one medium sized garbage bag. We already recycle and our city has recently started picking up recycling. Seeing all the blue bins around the city is a big step. Alberta's been behind with recycling programs, so, it was great to see it finally happen! Anyways, I would like to stay alive for as long as possible. I want to see my children's, children. And hopefully, their children. Great grandma sounds fantastic to me. This thought of course brings me back to our planet;and, this world we live in. How can we be so selfish? When we all have to do is start making drastic changes. Not in the near or distant future. NOW. We've been warned and told and taught. But, what do we do in return? Hear but we don't really listen. Remember Ferngully? A 1996 or 1997 movie, I'm not quite sure. I was 7 and this disney movie was telling us about deforestation and its effects. Disney!!! that was over a decade ago and now the lessons and the out comes have only progressed negatively. I want my children's children to live in a clean, healthy environment. Full of the animals I grew up with, without the word "endangered" or "extinct" next to them. I find it so appalling how we take everything for granted; how can we be so selfish? It's disgusting. The United States for example: they DO NOT recycle. One of the largest countries, with a vastly growing population, does not recycle. When my parents came back from Las Vegas and told me, I was mortified. LAS VEGAS of all places. Seriously, it's depressing. An example of global warming is happening right now in Calgary, AB. Snow in May. Most likely even June. Yeah, you say its just Calgary because we've always had fluctuating weather. Think about it, mid June it begins to warm up and it will stay decently warm until mid December. Everything is in reverse and it shouldn't be. I know, I'm not an environmentalist major or anything along those lines. But I cannot help venting. It's difficult to see. And to know that this will effect not only me but generations to come is heartbreaking.
Another example : An Inconvenient Truth; Say whatever you want, but as soon as I saw this video I was smitten. Another example: Planet Earth. It's simple: those DVD's illustrate where we live and how beautiful it is. And in some circumstances because of global warming, it's unfathomable to witness. (ex: the polar bear). Finally, the last and most recent example is Avatar. As cheesy as it sounds, there is an enormous "moral of the story" in that movie.
