Thank God I Found You, I Was Lost Without You.

you know what astounds me? what really astonishes me? the courage it takes after years of hurt, and confusion; to finally let someone in. the bravery. the most astonishing part, is that, no one really notices except yourself. and when you've finally let the person in, at first it's difficult.. to say the least. there's this wall, that you do not necessarily keep up; you know deep down, you want to give this person the benefit of the doubt. "this is it." "this time it'll be different." like you're holding your breath for something whimsical; something only dreamers dream of. and when that person, fights like hell to tear apart and dig under, and climb over the wall.until it finally. FINALLY. comes crashing down. with it comes love. young love, old love, new love, true love. and with love comes compromise, and trust, and honesty, and loyalty, and respect, and friendship, and compassion, and truth. After the understanding, the arguments, the growth and the time. and the effort you both put in. you sit there and you think, Thank God I found you.

you're never to young, to find that.to feel that. to experience that.
I personally don't think words do the feeling justice. you feel on top of it all. invincible. that person becomes so much of who you are in such little time. your new thoughts are "whats next?" the change in thought. the optimism it brings is a wonderful feeling.

Don't be afraid to let them in. if it's a horrible experience you know what you DON'T want. so you can go after what you DO want. and thats important too. let it take hold of you; you won't regret it. even if its just for a while.
