look kid, you'll learn how to tie your shoe and you'll learn how to chug a beer.
but you'll never learn how to love if you're so closed off to the world.
you see, we're influenced everywhere we go, scratch that, everytime we blink.
you gotta let the light shine in, so that you can let your light shine through.
your friends can tell you what team to love or what cigarette tastes better,
but they can't tell you how you felt that day your dog died or what its like to discover something all on your own.
see kid, its this simple, in order to love, laugh and be happy,
you gotta be yourself and never forget who you are;
the moment you lose that, you're back to square one,
back to being a white canvass.
